Hello again.

So, my earlier claim to be “back” turned out to be a touch premature, and I have little doubt that it was nothing more than wishful thinking on my part. The past three months or so have been pretty bloody unpleasant, and I’ve not done a particularly good job of assessing my mental state. But from a poker player’s perspective, it’s also been quite an interesting process, kind of like an immunologist testing vaccines out on himself… “ah, yes, when I imbibe this strain, I seem to have an adverse reaction… a very adverse reaction… good lord, this is fascinating! Someone call me an ambulance“.

It’s debatable whether I’ve learned anything from this – for all I know I could still be riddled with wrongheadedness – but I’m fairly certain that I’m playing poker again, and playing reasonably well, and making reasonable money out of it. And I feel like blogging again. So!

I’m back, maybe. We’ll see.
